Introducing our Regional Outreach Coordinator for Toronto

Ameera has a background in Communications and human rights. She is passionate about creating brave spaces to enhance educational training on equity and social justice initiatives. She spent over a decade living and working on traditional Anishinaabe Algonquin lands before returning to the Haudenosaunee region. With prior collaborative experiences with community organizations like the City for All Women Initiative (CAWI) and Refugee613, she is enthused to connect organizations at national and local levels to address the intersectionality of race and disabilities for more significant community support. As the Community Learning Coordinator; she is excited to bring her expertise to foster intersectional education and discussions to the Communities of Practice.
